You may be able to rent out a device on the same day without a reservation, at counters which have the "Same Day Application" service available. Please be aware that certain models will not be available due to stock conditions.
You cannot reserve a device online on the same day, as the cut-off time for online reservations is 5 pm (17:00) Japan time, one(1) day before your desired pick-up date.
